Outback Motortek designed a rear luggage rack for the Honda CB500x that is very functional. We’ve added holes that are large enough for technically any tie down straps or bungee cord to help you secure a bag, tent etc. on it.
The bonus is the laser cut holes that allow you to directly mount RotoPax fuel or water cans without any modification.
We do not recommend mounting top cases on our rear racks. Maximum total weight is 8kg/18lbs. Pay attention to the load distribution and frequently inspect the rack, its mounting system and hardware.

I bought a rear rack previous to this from another company and found it to be weaker as it only used the rear two bolts on the grab rail. This one uses all four bolts and replaces the grab rail altogether making this one very study. I mounted an aluminum top box to the luggage plate and it’s not going anywhere even on gravel roads.

Rack is really solid. Installation instructions on the web are easy to follow. The only weak point is the supplied replacement bolts. The heads tend to round off very easily, especially the 6 mm bolts. Allen head bolts like the stock Honda 6 mm bolts would be a better choice.
