The Outback Motortek X-Frames for the Honda CB500X are the most universal and functional side pannier frames yet, allowing simple, secure mounting of hard panniers and soft luggage.
Total width of the asymmetrical pannier racks mounted: 495mm. Compatible with our Rear Rack.
Exhaust heat shield is included!
Important note: Although we offer an exhaust heat shield for CB500X models, the main purpose of it is to keep bags coming in contact with the muffler. We cannot guarantee that heat coming off of the exhaust gas will be prevented by the heat shield. We suggest that you protect your soft panniers from melting while we’re working on a complete heat protection package.

Rack is solid and fits well. Installation video is easy to follow with one apparent error. The bolts to affix the rear foot pegs on my 2022 CB500X are 8 mm, not 10 mm as stated in the video, and hence the quoted torque spec is incorrect. I found out the hard way and ended up installing a couple of heli-coils. Also, longer replacement bolts should be supplied to re-attach the rear foot pegs as the stock bolts just aren’t long enough with the spacer/rack leg inserted. The 6 mm bolt heads are easy to round off, allen head bolts would be a better choice.
